Is it Spring?

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so here is a quick catch up video. For whatever reason we have a bit of a melancholy thing going on in this video. No explanation for that, maybe it's all the foreign films I watch or too much "Cat Power" on the radio.

Anyways, you gotta love splashing in the puddles and the first bike ride of the spring. I'm getting so much better at riding my bike now that my feet reach the pedals. I do generally prefer to ride a short distance and then stop to look at something or tell a story.

Note my drawings too. One is of a dog and one is of all my favorite shapes. Extra points if you can figure out which is which!

Don't you just love my robot costume? I'm a "Toy Story" fiend right now and just had to have a Buzz Lightyear costume. Nice try by dad to make one, but David's right when he says I look more like Sponge Bob!

Oh, and then there is my song. It's about a bag and just how useful and practical they are for "carrying all your stuff" and "doing all the things you want them to do". Can't you just feel my pain as I long for a bag of my own. (Dad makes a note to not buy anymore toys, just give the boy a bag to put his toys in... or is it handbags he really likes... hmmmm could be mom's influence again).

Overall, Mom says I deserve great Language Arts marks in reading, writing, viewing, speaking, and representing. It's just that LISTENING part of my literary development that I'm struggling with. Sure is "fun" living with two teachers and being over analyzed all the time!!

I'm Three!

It's time for my annual (monthly before I was 1) picture with Eeyore. Look back through my blog to compare how I've grown!

Here are some pics from my 3rd, 3rd birthday (my parents fear the pattern this may be creating!). I loved my construction themed cake and party!

I thought I had better show you my "egg chair" in more detail since the last video showed it so quickly. I love to sit in it to read and listen to stories. It also makes a great hiding place!

Christmas Holidays

Here are some pics from my holidays. Exchanging gifts with my friend Andrew, going to Edmonton (enjoying the rides, mini-golf and the pirate ship), practicing my skating (I'm getting pretty good), playing a shooting game (much to my parent's dislike), enjoying some hot chocolate with dad, and celebrating my birthday early (twice actually - once at Chuck E Cheese and once at Grandma and Grandpa Fladager's).

I also went to my very first movie these holidays (Alvin and the Chipmunks). It was great, especially the show before the show with the thunderstorm and giant fire breathing dragon in the lobby. Nothing beats the excessiveness of the West Ed. Mall!!!

You might notice the quick shot of my "new" room too. Gone are the change table, rocking chair and crib front. Check out the big-boy "egg" chair and hanging basket shelving. Cool hey?

Christmas 2009

Thank you everyone for a great Christmas! Cale has LOVED every minute of it. He tells us his favorite things are his construction hat, Mador truck, and microphone. He has also said everyone of the last three nights, "This is the best day / night ever!" He has also really liked playing with all of his cousins and eating such "yummy treats". He has already played with everything at least once. The next step is to learn to skate on his new skates. Stay tuned for that adventure!
