Meet My Fuzzy Friend, Wicket!
This weekend we welcomed a new member to our family, "Wicket" the hamster. Named after the main Ewok from Star Wars (big surprise?!?!), Wicket is a very friendly and happy little guy with lots of energy. So far he is doing all the things you would expect; running in his wheel, sleeping in his little house, and tunneling in his wood chips. He is just getting used to us and his new home so he doesn't yet leave the cage on his own. Like when your child first learns to crawl, we anticipate everything to change once he is actively mobile! Cale is loving looking after him and certainly had the pet adoption gentleman at PetSmart convinced that he will be a great pet parent!
"I really like to play with him and hold him", explains CALE.
Drawings and Set Ups
When Cale is at home he loves to draw Angry Bird scenes and set up his soldiers and/or pirates for battles. He also drew pictures of dad (in an Angry Birds shirt) and mom (hoop earings and blond hair). When Cale is at school he draws mostly pictures of mom and dad and Cale with hearts all over them. Too cute! We are really missing each other during the day now that we are all at different schools all day. There is also a drawing of our newest family member "Wicket", see posting above.

Last Part of Summer
It's been a great summer! All three of us are back to school this week. Here is a little glimpse into what I've been up to lately.
We had a great time at Carleen and Ryan's wedding. A beautiful day and a ton of fun! Congratulations to them! I've been taking swimming lessons and passed "Salamanders" and am going into "Sunfish". I love to put my face under the water now and even open my eyes to look around. I'm pretty good at both front and back floats now and can push off and glide through the water. I've also been doing a lot of drawing (mostly Angry Birds and Star Wars) and building with Lego. I had a camp out at Grandma and Grandpa Fladager's place last night and had a good time with the fire pit and sleeping in their trailer. I've also been bowling and back to Chuck E. Cheese. I'm missing my buddy Iris who I taught to do a few things this summer. I hope she's having fun back in Hong Kong. Bye for now!

New School and New Bunk Bed
Cale will be attending Kidzone at Dr. Perry School this fall. He's going a few days this summer to check it all out. Good for you Cale, you're really growing up!
He also finally got the bunk beds he has been dreaming about having. No surprise, he chose the upper bunk beginning night one with the Spiderman sheets!
